Title

Hampton Coliseum and Convention Center Campus Branding

Body

Hampton Convention & Visitor Bureau dedicated ARPA grant resources to brand the campus that includes the Hampton Roads Convention Center, Hampton Coliseum, Hampton Virginia Aquaplex, and the Embassy Suites Hotel.  The purpose was to address the corporate void and critical demand for business-class hotel rooms, dining establishments, entertainment, and other amenities in close proximity to the event venues. By branding and marketing the campus to developers and corporate audiences, Hampton increases the likelihood of the campus' development, resulting in increased visitation and tourism economic impact. Once branding is complete, Economic Development and the Convention & Visitor Bureau will strive to improve the campus offerings and landscape in order to meet the lodging and dining expectations of meeting and event planners. Hampton's venues and the surrounding businesses will then be in a better position to meet their potential as economic generators.

Justin Vogt, Senior Vice President and Head of Client Services of Fuse Ideas will present the status of the branding process and recommended next steps.  He will be accompanied by other members of Fuse Ideas team including Account Director Samantha Vogl, Chief Creative Strategist Kevin Redmond, and Associate Creative Director Sam Ellison.
