Consideration of an Appointment to the Planning Commission
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Michael Harris has served a partial term and is eligible for reappointment to another term. Council is being asked to reappoint him to serve a first full term until November 30, 2028.
There are individuals in the Board Bank who have expressed a desire to serve on this board. Those applications are being provided to Council.

Al Henderson currently serves on the Citizens' Engagement Advisory Review Commission (CEARC) until July 30, 2029
Joe Griffith currently serves on the Neighborhood Commission until October 31, 2027
Travis Rhodes currently serves on the Board of Zoning Appeals until December 31, 2028. (NOTE: 15.2-2308 Members of the board shall hold no other public office in the locality except that one may be a member of the local Planning Commission)
Carlton Campbell currently serves on the Hampton Economic Development Authority until September 30, 2028.

Karen Scott currently serves on the Hampton Clean City Commission until February 28, 2028, and the Coliseum Advisory Committee until December 31, 2026.
Remi Travis Wright currently serves on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board until March 31, 2026, and the Hampton Senior Citizens Advisory Committee until March 30, 2025.
