Resolution Authorizing Execution of a Right of Way Agreement Granting a 15' X 245' Easement Totaling 3,675 Square Feet +/- to Dominion Energy Virginia Over Property Located at 65 Hall Road in Order to Provide Electrical Services and Utilities to a Public Facility Located on Property Owned by the City of Hampton, Virginia for Public Use for the Fox Hill Neighborhood Center Addition

Purpose

PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:

In 2018 The City purchased the property at 65 Hall Road (LRSN 10000173 - the former Cornerstone Fellowship Church of God) which was renovated and is now the Fox Hill Neighborhood Center.

On or about June 28, 2021, the City entered into a contract with Heartland Construction, Inc. for the construction of an 8,400 square feet addition to the existing building to include a gymnasium and commercial kitchen which requires electrical power service.  Dominion Energy Virginia requests a 15’ x 245’ utility easement (Totaling 3,675+/- Square Feet) for the transmission and distribution of electrical power on the property as depicted on the sketch attached to the Right of Way Agreement. Staff recommends approval of the easement and attached agreement.
