Consideration of Appointments to the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Dr. Norman Merrifield no longer resides in Hampton, and, as such, is not eligible to continue to serve. Council is being asked to appoint an individual to fill the unexpired portion of the term until March 31, 2026.
Katherine G. Dermanis has served one term and is eligible for reappointment to another term. Council is being asked to reappoint her to serve a second term until April 30, 2027.
Shawn O'Keefe has served two consecutive terms and is not eligible for reappointment. Council is being asked to appoint an individual to serve a first term until June 30, 2027.
Susan Ottey has resigned from the board. Council is being asked to appoint an individual to serve a first term until June 30, 2027.
Jennifer Colton has resigned from the board. Council is being asked to appoint an individual to fill the unexpired portion of the term until March 31, 2026.
There are individuals in the Board Bank who have expressed a desire to serve on this board. Those applications are being provided to Council.
