Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
The office has now been operating for one year, during which the department has experienced shifts in its primary population of focus, organizational structure, and physical location. This presentation serves as the department’s first annual report and includes an outline of the next phase.
Discussion:
As the department is still in its early stages, this presentation is designed to update Council, residents, and stakeholders on the progress achieved to date, including community partnerships, new initiatives, and the department’s strategic direction. It also highlights how the department advances several Council priorities, including Family Resilience and Economic Empowerment, Educated Citizenry, Economic Growth, and Excellence in Government. Additionally, the presentation underscores the critical need for additional resources to support residents’ success and promote sustained upward economic mobility.
