Title

Consideration of Appointments to the Board of Zoning Appeals

Purpose

PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:

Sean Cummings has submitted his resignation.  Council is being asked to recommend an individual to fill the unexpired portion of the term until December 31, 2029.  The Board has recommended Jonathan Oliveras, who is currently serving as an alternate.

If Council concurs, that will create a vacancy for the remainder of Mr. Oliveras' term, and Council is being asked to recommend for appointment an individual to fill the unexpired portion of his term as an alternate until December 31, 2026.

There are individuals in the Board Bank who have expressed a desire to serve on this board. Those applications are being provided to Council.

Council is being asked for their recommendation to send to the Hampton Circuit Court

Members of this board shall hold no other public office in the City except that one may be a member of the Planning Commission.
