Housing Repair Programs Update
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
The City of Hampton supports a variety of local programs to stabilize, adapt, and encourage reinvestment in an older stock of housing across the city through federal, state, and capital funds. The Community Development Department and the Hampton Redevelopment & Housing Authority will provide a briefing on local reinvestment strategies, housing repair programs, processes for applicants, current funding for repair programs, current challenges, and proposed changes and considerations.
Discussion:
The dialogue will provide opportunities to explore current practices and policies that impact implementation and provide insights to be considered in addressing future housing solutions.
Impact:
Policies discussed will impact the implementation of housing programs and provide guidance for future housing reinvestment strategies.
