Consideration of appointments to the Hampton-Newport News Community Service Board
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
The terms of Leroy Branch and Tom Moorehouse expire on June 30, 2016. The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NN CSB) allows a maximum of three consecutive terms and terms lengths are three years.
Mr. Branch has served a partial term and then three full terms so he is not eligible for reappointment. Council is asked to appoint a successor to serve until June 30, 2019.
Mr. Moorehouse has served one full term. As such, he is eligible for reappointment to another term which would expire on June 30, 2019
There are individuals in the Board Bank willing to serve on this board and those applications are provided. Steven Brown currently serves on the HRHA until June 30, 2019 and the CEAC until June 30, 2020. Morgan Russell currently serves as a liason on the Mayor's Committee for People with Disabilities.
