Consideration of appointments to the Hampton Parking Authority
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Jim Turner's term expires on June 30, 2016 and has served two consecutive terms and is not eligible for reappointment. Council is being asked to appoint a replacement until June 30, 2020.
Suzanna Scott has resigned as the Hampton City School Representative and is recommending Vizel Townsend to fill her term as the Hampton City School Representative until September 1, 2017.
Cato Reaves, Sr. who was appointed on March 9, 2016 is unable to serve his term. Council is being asked to appoint a replacement for a term to expire June 30, 2019.
There are individuals in the Board Bank who have expressed a desire to serve on this board. Those applications are being provided to Council.
UPDATED INFORMATION FOR AUGUST 10, 2016: The Hampton Parking Authority has made a recommendationn for filling the vacancies which is being provided with the agenda materials.
