General Assembly 2024 Legislative Priorities Discussion
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Each year Council begins its discussions on its legislative priorities for the next General Assembly with an open discussion at an afternoon work session. Representatives from our external lobbyist, Two Capitols Consulting, will be present to summarize carryover issues, matters raised by department heads and/or Council members; and to help facilitate the Council discussion. Following this meeting, staff and Two Capitols Consulting will work together to present a draft legislative program for Council's review and ultimate approval at the November 8, 2023 City Council meeting.
