2027 Legislative Priorities Update
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Council annually begins its discussions on its legislative priorities for the next General Assembly Session with an open discussion at an afternoon work session, which occurred at the September 9, 2026 Council Work Session. Since that time, additional requests have arisen and been added to the City's priorities. Ed Reed, a representative from the City's lobbyist, Two Capitols Consulting, will be present to summarize these additional items for the public.
Following this additional Work Session, the proposed final legislative agenda for Council's review and approval in the Legislative Session.
