Consideration of appointments to Transportation District Commission of Hampton Roads
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
At the current time, Coundilman Moffett serves as Hampton's appointee to this body with Councilman Hobbs serving as alternate. Both terms have an expiration date of June 30, 2018. Councilman Hobb's current schedule makes serving as the alternate a challenge. It is their recommendation that City Council consider appointing a member of staff to serve in this role.
Due to the financial issues involved and their potential budgetary impact, it is the City Manager's recommendation that City Council consider appointing Brian DeProfio, Director of Budget and Strategic Initatives to serve the remainder of Councilman Hobb's term as alternate.
