2015-2016 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER)
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires entitlement communities to hold a public hearing to review program performance and to obtain the views of citizens on housing and community development needs. The program year 2015-2016 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) provides a review of the City’s performance and use of Community Development and Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Program funds. The full document can be viewed and/or downloaded at: www.hampton.gov/neighborhoods.
The report has been available for a 30-day public review and comment period since Monday, August 26, 2016. The public comment period will end on September 26, 2016. All public comments received will be incorporated into the final draft of the plan, which will be submitted to HUD on September 30, 2016.
The availability of the plan for public review and comment was and will be advertised on the following dates: August 25; September 15; and September 22, 2016.
Discussion:
There is no fiscal impact to the City, however, this report is required annually by HUD.
Impact:
This report provides an overview of the accomplishments in the Council approved strategic housing areas.
