Consideration of Appointments to the Grievance Board

 

Purpose

PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:

 

 

Melvin Ferebee, Linda Curtis, Brad Young, and Phyllis Porter have served one term and are eligible for reappointment to another term.  Council is being asked to reappoint them to serve a second term until June 30, 2029.

 

Toyzette Dance has served a partial term and is eligible for reappointment to another term.  Council is being asked to reappoint her to serve a second term until June 30, 2029.

 

Karl Gunther and David Rogers have served two consecutive terms and are not eligible for reappointment.  Council is being asked to appoint individuals to serve a first term until June 30, 2029.

 

There are individuals in the Board Bank who have expressed a desire to serve on this board. Those applications are being provided to Council.

Remi Travis Wright currently serves on the Hampton Senior Citizens Advisory Committee until March 30, 2025, and the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board until March 31, 2026.

James Young currently serves on the Hampton Redevelopment & Housing Authority until June 30, 2027.

Quincy Byrd currently serves on the Social Services Local Advisory Board until March 31, 2029.

Al Henderson currently serves on the Citizens' Engagement Advisory Review Commission (CEARC) until July 30, 2029.

Philip Siff currently serves on the Mayors' Committee for People with Disabilities until February 28, 2028, and the Hampton Animal Response Team Advisory Committee until February 28, 2027.
