Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
This briefing is an update on year-to-date crime trends for the community. The briefing will highlight some of the ongoing mitigation strategies utilized by the Hampton Police Division to address violent crime.
Discussion:
It is our belief that every citizen in the City of Hampton deserves to live in a neighborhood that is safe and provides an environment where that individual can reach their full potential. The Hampton Police Division is committed to providing for the safety of our residents. We also recognize that crime is a societal problem which cannot be solely solved by the police. Addressing crime requires a full community response.
