Community Plan Update Process 2021
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Provides a briefing to City Council in preparation of the commencement of the update process for the Hampton Community Plan
Discussion:
The current Hampton Community Plan was adopted in 2006 with an update to the Strategic Plan component in 2011. The update to the Community Plan is overdue, so now that we are emerging from the pandemic we are prepared to commence this two year process. The presentation will describe our process, roles and proposed schedule to guide us in this update process.
Resources will be largely provided by the City organization although a small amount of funding will be required to support the process. These costs include such items as mailings, meeting supplies and the cost of any space rentals if applicable
Impact:
The Community Plan is required to be updated on a regular basis. This process will fulfill this legal mandate and would then set broad goals and objectives for the City's future.

No action necessary. General agreement from City Council to proceed as described is all that is required
