Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
This presentation will provide information on the Public Art Program. Coordinated and executed through the Hampton Arts Division of the Hampton Coliseum/Hampton Arts Department, this program imagines the successful engagement of public spaces, where citizens and visitors alike encounter works of public art that would capture their imaginations and engage their creativity. Additionally, the program seeks to provide an environment where creative placemaking and public spaces help to define our community's cultural tapestry - contributing to the goal of Hampton becoming one of Virginia's most livable cities.
