Closed session pursuant to 2.2-3711(A)(7) and (8) for consultation with legal counsel to receive updates concerning pending litigation and other material legal issues and transactions; pursuant to 2.2-3711(A)(3) and (8) to discuss potential acquisition of real property in the Newmarket Creek area, where discussion in open session would adversely affect the city’s negotiating strategy, and consultation with legal counsel concerning specific legal issues related to the same; and pursuant to 2.2-37711(A)(1) for consideration of appointments as listed in the agenda as well as appointments to the Economic Development Authority and Citizens Police Advisory Group and to discuss the performance of a Council appointee.
