Purpose

PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:

Each year, City staff briefs Council on a variety of topics leading up to the development and submission of the City Manager's Recommended Budget.

(A)                     Jason Mitchell, Director of Public Works will present information on projected stormwater, wastewater and solid waste fees.

(B)                     Every few years, Community Development surveys various fees structure in our surrounding jurisdictions to insure that our fees are competitive.  City Council’s past direction to staff has been to try to maintain our fees near the middle of the regional fee structure.  Last year we surveyed fees with the exception of site plan and subdivision fees.  Phil Prisco, Development Services Manager, will presenting the findings related to fees associated with the site plan and subdivision permit processes.

(C)                     The public will have opportunities to learn about and give their input into the upcoming budget.  Robin McCormick, the City's Communications Strategist, will share those opportunities at this meeting.
