Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Virginia Emergency Medical Services (EMS) regulation 12VAC5-31-420, requires that an EMS agency submit an ordinance or resolution from the governing body of each locality where the agency maintains an office to the Department of Health confirming that the governing body approves the agency’s operation within the locality. MMT intends to operate out of 414 Marcella Road, the same location where Medical Transport operated, as a private transport service for citizens and hospitals for inter and intra-facility transports. Chief Monk has no concerns about the approval of this business.
