Consideration of appointments to the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Golden Bethue-Hill's first full term expires on June 30, 2017, and she is eligible for reappointment to a second term expiring on June 30, 2020.
Sheriff B. J. Roberts' second full term expires on June 30, 2017, and he is eligible for reappointment to a third term expiring on June 30, 2020.
Amendments to Section 37.1-196 of the State Code made during the 1998 General Assembly allow members to serve three full terms.
There are individuals in the Board Bank who have expressed a desire to serve on this board. Those applications are being provided to Council.
