Briefing and Update on the Mission of Animal Control
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
To brief City Council on Animal Control goals, objectives and progress, as well as present a proposed new logo and name change.
Discussion:
The briefing will outline goals, objectives and progress the unit has made and are making. The report will also cover areas of improvement that Animal Control continues to focus on, as well as give City Council a general appreciation of the work the unit performs on a daily basis. The unit would like to roll out a new logo and name during the month of February.
Impact:
The name change to Hampton Animal Response Team (HART) presents a more friendly description of the unit's mission and the logo underscores the name change.
