Consideration of appointments to the Planning Commission
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Thomas Southall's first full term expires on June 30, 2017, and staff is recommending that he be reappointed to a second term which would end on June 30, 2021.
The terms of Greg Williams and Gay LaRue also expire on June 30, 2017. Since they have both served two full consecutive terms, they are not eligible for reappointment.
There are individuals in the Board Bank who have expressed a desire to serve on this board. Those applications have been provided to Council.
Of the applicants expressing interest in serving on the Planning Commission, the following applicants are currently serving on other boards as indicated:
Reginald Warren - PPOC until 2018
Gregory Smoots - Golf Course Advisory until 2019
Carole Garrison - Wetlands until 2021
Alice Callahan - CEARC until 2022
Derrick Brooks - Hampton Arts until 2022
