Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Council will receive briefing from the Director of Public Works on the MS4 Permit
Discussion:
The City of Hampton operates our stormwater system under a Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit issued by the Department of Environmental Quality.
Impact:
Our MS4 permit requires the development of a program to accomplish the objectives of the permit and includes provisions for achieving federally mandated pollutant reductions for the Chesapeake Bay and Back River total maximum daily loads (TMDL)
