The Emergency Management Performance (EMP) Grant provides funds to support the whole community approach to strengthen a community’s emergency management program in preparation for all hazards. The City of Hampton (the "City") has been awarded a 2023 Emergency Management Performance (EMP) Grant to support the City's Emergency Management program.

Discussion:

This grant is awarded annually to the City to go towards supporting the Emergency Management program. A portion will go towards training and education for City staff and volunteers who support the Emergency Management program. The remaining portion will pay for planning assistance for the office. Currently there are no other funding sources for this support of the Office of Emergency Management other than additional City funds.
