Consideration of appointments to the Hampton Redevelopment & Housing Authority Citizen Board

Purpose

PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:

Valerie Purcell's term will expire on June 30, 2016 and is eligible for reappointment to a second term to expire on June 30, 2020.

Louis Morris' term will expire on June 30, 2016 and is not eligible for reappointment as he has served two consecutive terms.  Council is being asked to appoint a replacement for a term to expire June 30, 2020.

There are individuals in the Board Bank who have expressed a desire to serve on this board. Those applications are being provided to Council.

The committee recommends Valerie Purcell to be reappointed to another term to expire on June 30, 2020 and recommends Eleanor Brown to be appointed to fill the vacancy of Mr. Morris to expire on June 30, 2020.
