Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
The impact of flooding on property values has become an important concern for residents. Additionally, residents are interested in learning strategies to reduce the potential risk from flooding and lowering the cost of flood insurance premiums.
Discussion:
Brian Gordineer, City Assessor, will present his findings on assessed values citywide. Hui-Shan Walker, Emergency Management Coordinator, will provide information on mitigation strategies for residents and opportunities to reduce the cost of flood insurance.
