Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND
The City of Hampton engaged the National Golf Foundation (NGF) and Richard Mandell Golf Architecture as consultants to assess the financial viability of The Hamptons and Woodlands golf courses. Both courses have consistently operated at a financial loss, prompting the need for a comprehensive evaluation of their long-term sustainability. The study's findings provide a set of recommendations that focus on options designed to improve the courses' financial output. These options include enhancements to infrastructure, course design, and maintenance practices to increase usage and revenue generation. This presentation will offer an updated outlook on the future of Hampton’s municipal golf courses.
