Briefing on War Memorial Stadium Enhancements
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Council has previously expressed a desire to invest in an upgrade of the War Memorial Stadium to address issues relating to the age of the facility. This presentation by the Peninsula Stadium Authority and their agents will highlight the Authority's proposed phase one plans.
Impact:
The proposed capital plan would set aside $600K per year for a total of five years.

The Peninsula Stadium Authority would like approval to proceed with the first phase of investment. To do this, they will need access to the $600K set aside in the current FY 17 budget process. Staff recommends we proceed in allowing this access, but wish to ensure Council is comfortable as well.
