Title
Briefing on New Wythe Fire Station Project
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
The current Wythe Fire Station building was constructed in 1945 and has ably served the city for 75 years. The building is part of our aging infrastructure and is due for costly repairs. Our current facility was not designed to house modern fire apparatus. Additionally, the current location of the station does not optimize coverage and response times. As good stewards of taxpayer dollars, the decision was made to construct a new fire station. This briefing will cover the selected site for construction of a new Wythe Fire Station and an estimated project scheduled.
