Proposed Fiscal Year 2021 Transportation Service Plan and Transit Transformation Project Overview
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Each year, Hampton Roads Transit submits to the City a proposed Transportation Service Plan (TSP) that includes the alignment and hours that each bus route will use in the upcoming fiscal year. The TSP then serves as the basis for the HRT budget request for the fiscal year. In recent years, only minor changes have been made to City bus routes and these changes have been cost neutral. This year HRT is proposing some service changes and will review them with Council. HRT will also provide Council with an update on the Transit Transformation Project, which is a regional effort to reimagine transit services delivery across Hampton Roads.
