Purpose

PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:

 

Philip Siff has served a partial term and is eligible for reappointment to a full term ending December 31, 2028. 

 

Kevin Davis, who was serving as an alternate, submitted his resignation.  Council is being asked to appoint an individual to serve the unexpired portion of his term until October 31, 2027.

 

There are individuals in the Board Bank who have expressed a desire to serve on this board. Those applications are being provided to Council.

The Board of Zoning Appeals consists of five members and three alternates.  Vacancies include 1 member and 1 alternate.

 

 

Applicants Currently Serving on Other Board/Commissions:

 

Gayle Mooney currently serves on the Hampton Clean City Commission until January 31, 2024

LaShaunda Kay currently serves on Social Services Local Advisory Board until December 31, 2023 and is up for reappointment for another term

Remi Travis Wright currently serves on Parks & Rec Advisory Board until March 31, 2026 and Hampton Senior Citizens Advisory Committee until March 30, 2025

Julianne Routten currently serves on the Board of Review of Real Estate Assessments until June 30, 2024 and Animal Control Advisory Committee until December 31, 2025

Council is being asked for their recommendation to send to the Hampton Circuit Court.

 

Members of the board shall hold no other public office in the City except that one may be a member of the Planning Commission.
