Purpose
Background Statement:
This proposal is a rezoning from One-Family Residential (R-13) District to One-Family Residential (R-9) District, to construct thirteen (13) one-family dwellings in a new subdivision. The dwellings will each front on a new public street connecting to Saunders Road, and ending in a cul-de-sac within the existing parcel. The dwellings will be sold at market rate, and will have a variety of designs, with no two dwellings of the same design being built next to one another. A home owners association will be created for the new subdivision to manage the common area, including a proposed stormwater management facility. The applicant will maintain a ten (10) foot buffer of trees around the edges of the site.
The Hampton Community Plan (2006, as amended) future land use map recommends low-density residential development on this site.
