Purpose

PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:

Senior Deputy City Attorney Brandi A. Law will provide a briefing on a proposed ordinance that would make it unlawful for any person or persons to camp, lay, sleep or store items on public property.  Any violation of this ordinance would be a class one misdemeanor.  Any property unlawfully stored on public property may be seized by the City.  Such property would be stored by the City for 30 days, during which time the owner may reclaim it.
