Regulation of Recreational Vehicles
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Recreational vehicles, including campers, trailers, boats, etc. are currently regulated by the zoning ordinance. These standards were written decades ago when these vehicles were less common and generally smaller in size. As a result, many properties have recreational vehicles that are out of compliance with these standards. Because of the high number of noncompliant vehicles, enforcement of this ordinance was suspended in early 2016 so that new standards could be drafted. These proposed standards were sent for review by the public through the Neighborhood Commission in late 2016.
