Panhandling Update
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Staff will provide an update to City Council and citizens regarding the efforts to assist the panhandlers and homeless with services. The briefing will also highlight the current outreach and educational efforts that staff is undertaking to inform the public on effective ways to provide meaningful assistance to the pandhandlers and homeless.
Discussion:
The goal is to reduce the number of panhandlers and homeless in the city by providing opportunities for individuals to become productive and self-supporting.
