Consideration of appointments to Peninsula Stadium Authority
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Both Tim Smith and A. G. Womble have served two consecutive terms and are not eligible for reappointment. Council is being asked to appointment replacements until March 30, 2022.
There are individuals in the Board Bank who have expressed a desire to serve on this board. Those applications are being provided to Council.
UPDATE: In response to our annual request for Financial Disclosure forms, the Council Office was advised by Stephen Todd that he has resigned from this authority since he now lives in Newport News. This is the first notice that our office has received but, in light of Mr. Todd no longer residing in Hampton, a replacement for him is also needed. Mr. Todd's term was to expire on September 30, 2019.
CORRECTED INFORMATION AS OF FEBRUARY 12, 2018: There are actually three (3) members whose terms have expired: Tim Smith, A. G. Womble, and Ruth Simmons. Council is being asked to appoint their successors to serve four (4) year terms. Additionally, Stephen Todd no longer resides in Hampton so a successor needs to be appointed to fill the unexpired portion of his term until September 30, 2019.
