Update on Hampton Police Division's Crime Initiatives

 

Purpose

PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:

At the January 10, 2018, City Council meeting, Mayor Tuck requested a presentation by Chief Sult on the status of crime fighting efforts.  The presentation will provide City Council with an updated overview of the Police Division's efforts to combat the Guns, Gangs and Drugs throughout the city as well as outlining key strategy initiatives that have been put in place to assist in these crime fighting efforts.

 

Discussion:

 

Chief Sult will provide an update to City Council on the Police Division's crime fighting efforts that have concentrated on Guns, Gangs and Drugs at both the federal and state levels as well as the impact these efforts have made throughout the city.

 

Impact:

 

To demonstrate to City Council and the citizens that the Police Division is professionally fighting crime to keep Hampton safe for our citizens, visitors and patrons who live, work and play within its borders.
