Budget Briefings (Continued)
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
On April 25th the first budget hearing was held. A second budget hearing was held on May 2nd. Following that a first vote on the budget ordinances requiring two votes was held. The second vote on the those ordinances as well as the only vote needed for those requiring only one vote will be held at the evening meeting.
The afternoon session will be used to make final decisions on Council's desired budget amendments so that the necessary legal language can be prepared before the evening session.
Also, staff will make a presentation on the planned bond issue that covers capital projects for which bond funding was identified for fiscal years 2017, 2018 and 2019. A public hearing for that issue will be held in the evening session.
