Purpose

PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:

Dale and Karen Bliss (“Licensee”) own the property located at 29 Teresa Drive (LRSN 3000645) (“Licensee’s Parcel”), and the City has a variable width drainage easement along the rear and southern property lines of Licensee’s Parcel.  Licensee requests permission to encroach into a 1,231 square foot area along their rear property line and a 786 square feet area along to their southern property line, both areas more or less, to replace and install a privacy fence as illustrated on Exhibit “A” attached to the Encroachment Agreement.  

 

The request was routed to staff and local utility companies, and none have any objection.  Therefore, pursuant to § 34-86 of the City Code, staff recommends approval of Encroachment Application No. 2018-001 under the conditions outlined in the accompanying Encroachment Agreement.
