PurposeTitle

PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:

Briefing on the benefits to the Hampton community and the process to become a certified work ready community.

Discussion:

Discussion regarding community based eco-systems to link, align and match Hampton's workforce to education and job opportunities.  Staff will also discuss the upcoming September launch event and progress regarding workforce development.

Impact:

This is part of City Council's poverty initiative and Opportunities for Youth and Young Adults initiative.
