2017-2018 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER)
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires entitlement communities to hold a public hearing to review program performance and to obtain the views of citizens on housing and community development needs. The program year 2017-2018 CAPER provides a review of the City’s performance and use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Program funds.
The report has been available for a 30-day public review and comment period since Friday, August 24, 2018. The public comment period will end on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. All public comments received will be incorporated into the final draft of the plan, which will be submitted to HUD on September 28, 2018.
The availability of the plan for public review and comment was and will be advertised on the following dates: August 24; September 13; and September 20, 2018.
Discussion:
There is no fiscal impact to the City; however, HUD requires this report annually.
Impact:
This report provides an overview of the accomplishments in the Council approved strategic housing areas.
