PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
This grant will allow the Hampton Clean City Commission to purchase Adopt-A-Spot signs to recognize volunteers and educate the public.

Accepting these grant funds will allow the Clean City Commission to purchase signs to recognize volunteers for their committment to helping keep our city clean and beautiful.

The recommendation is to accept the grant funds.
Body
WHEREAS, the Hampton Clean City Commission has been awarded $2,500 from the Waste Management Inc.’s Think Green Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the grant was awarded to purchase signs for the Clean City Commission’s Adopt-A-Spot Program;
WHEREAS, the grant award covers the period September 5, 2018 through December 30, 2018,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Hampton amends the Fiscal Year 2019 Council Approved Budget and accepts and appropriates $2,500 in accordance with the grant agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the City Manager or her designee to take the necessary steps to implement this grant award.
