Consideration of Appointments to the Hampton Redevelopment & Housing Authority
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Butch Heath's term expires on June 30, 2020, and he is eligible for reappointment to a second term expiring on June 30, 2024.
Valerie Purcell's term also expires on June 30, 2020, and she is not eligible for reappointment. Council is being asked to appoint an individual to succeed Ms. Purcell. The composition of the HRHA requires that one member be a client of the either the public housing program on a resident of Section 8 housing. Ms. Purcell has filled that role so her replacement must also fit the required criteria.
There are individuals in the Board Bank who have expressed a desire to serve on this board. Those applications are being provided to Council.
