Motion to accept the donation of equipment valued at $64,406.00 from the Hampton Roads Metropolitan Medical Response System to the City for use by the Hampton Fire Division.

Purpose

PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:

The Hampton Roads Metropolitan Medical Response System (HRMMRS) received a grant to purchase a 2019 MEDSTAT MS 500 Off Road Ambulance.  This vehicle is considered a regional asset through HRMMRS system assigned to Hampton, it will be housed and used by City of Hampton Fire and Rescue division.  This vehicle will be used to augment emergency resources during a mass casualty, disaster or terrorism event.  

Impact:

The cost of this equipment if replaced by the City would be approximately $64,406.00.  General maintenance will be covered by the City of Hampton Fire and Rescue division
