Resolution Authorizing the Execution of a Use Agreement Between the City of Hampton and the Fox Hill Neighborhood Center, Inc. to Use the Fox Hill Neighborhood Center Located at 65 Hall Road

Purpose

PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:

Hampton Parks, Recreation, & Leisure Services desires to partner with Fox Hill Neighborhood Center Inc. to conduct and expand special programming opportunities to the Fox Hill community. This includes the use of the Fox Hill Neighborhood Center to provide community activities, special events, cultural enrichment events, recreational activities, educational, and social programs for residents in and around the Fox Hill community. The Use Agreement allows the non-profit organization Fox Hill Neighborhood Center Inc. to exclusively manage the programs and activities at the center per the guidelines provided in the agreement. The agreement was modeled after agreements that Hampton Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services has with other organizations that manage neighborhood centers in the City.  The hours of operation will vary based on the program but generally be between 8a-9p.

                     WHEREAS, the City owns the Fox Hill Neighborhood Center located at 65 Hall Road;

                     WHEREAS, the City desires to staff and operate the Fox Hill Neighborhood Center as a community resource for educational, cultural enrichment programs, and recreational programs, to improve the quality of life for its residents;

                     WHEREAS, the City desires to  establish a partnership with Fox Hill Neighborhood Center, Inc. to promote recreational and cultural opportunities through community involvement;
