General Assembly 2021 Legislative Priorities Discussion
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Each year Council begins its discussions on its legislative priorities for the next General Assembly with an open discussion at an afternoon work session. Representatives from our external lobbyists - Two Capitols - will be present to summarize carry over issues; matters raised by department heads and/or Council member; and, to help facilitate the Council discussion. Following this meeting, staff and Two Capitols will work together to present a draft legislative program for Council’s review and ultimate approval at the November 12, 2020 Council meeting.
