Purpose
This is a multi-departmental briefing on the City's efforts to recognize the important role our waterfront plays in the culture of our community. Throughout our history, water has influenced our settlement patterns, our industry, our quality of life and the very essence of who we are as a community. The presentation focuses on the following topics: (1) vision, planning and policies; (2) maintaining and protecting our waterfront assets; (3) access and recreational opportunities; and (4) water as an economic driver through tourism and economic development.
