Consideration of Appointments to the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
The terms of Steve Bond and Councilmember Steve Brown will end on June 30, 2021, and both are eligible for reappointment until June 30, 2024.
Councilmember Chris Bowman resigned effective March 6, 2021, in order to prevent any conflict of having more than two elected or appointed officials simultaneously on this board. Council is being asked to appoint an individual to a term ending June 30, 2024.
Charisse Mullen resigned effective March 31, 2021, due to receiving a judicial appointment. Council is being asked to appoint an individual to serve her unexpired term ending June 30, 2023.
There are individuals in the Board Bank who have expressed a desire to serve on this board. Those applications are being provided to Council.
