Consideration of Appointments to the Hampton Federal Area Development Authority
Purpose
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND:
Charlene Clark and Patrick Garvey have served two consecutive terms as of January 31, 2023, and are not eligible for reappointment. Council is being asked to appoint two individuals to serve a first term until January 31, 2027.
Michele Hammond's first full term ends on January 31, 2023, and she is eligible to be reappointed until January 31, 2027.
Danielle Woods-Lewis resigned. Council is being asked to appoint an individual to a first term ending January 31, 2027.
There are individuals in the Board Bank who have expressed a desire to serve on this board. Those applications are being provided to Council.

Applicants Currently Serving on Other Board/Commissions:
Thomas Fukawa currently serves on the Peninsula Agency on Aging until September 30, 2023.
Melvin Ferebee currently serves on the Grievance Board until June 30, 2025 and the Virginia Air & Space Center Board until February 28, 2026.
Rev. Joshua King currently serves on the Citizens Police Advisory Group (CPAG) until January 31, 2026.
